Wicked Good Software has released version 1.51 of the web2school product. web2school is a web-enabled school administrative package that encompasses Student Demographics, Attendance, Health, Grade Reporting, Teacher Grade Books, Scheduling, and Discipline. Each of these systems can be purchased separately to fit the needs of the individual school. web2school can be run on a stand-alone computer, an internal network or across the internet. This software is client/server based and does not require a browser or web server to run.
This past August, our web2school software was evaluated by the Massachusetts Department of Education SIMS Technical Requirements and was certified as SIMS compliant for 52 elements. We also worked closely with the State of Maine to provide the required student demographic exports for the Maine Education Data Management System (MEDMS). Not only were we among the first to complete the task, we have also provided this software enhancement to our customers free of charge.
web2school provides low-cost assistance to administrators, counselors and teachers with day-to-day record keeping and reporting tasks giving them more free time to work with students. Features include multiple attendance calendars, multiple guardians for each student, Master Schedule builder, rotating student/teacher schedules, Grade Books created based on Teacher Schedules so Courses/Sections and Rosters are automatically included, suspension/detention tracking, immunization tracking, e-mailing of reports, etc.
New systems to be released soon include: The Standards System that will track state and federal education standards for each student. This program allows customizable standards, areas of study, and assessment methods.
